What made me go full mgtow was the double standard I saw, and continue to see everywhere I look. I'm tired of people assuming that I'm aggressive, assuming I'm unhappy because I don't have a woman, telling me I need to be a family man, and disregarding any deep emotions that I have.

My opinions are by-and-large not welcomed. As a teacher, I am constantly having to weasel my way into conversations and work harder than my female peers to develop professional relationships. Every time I spend too much time around one of my female students, I run the risk of being called a pedophile. I'm constantly on guard when talking to my coworkers, lest I be charged with sexual harassment. Moreover, if I reject any advances, I open myself up to being ostracized. I've had co-workers asked me if I was gay because I didn't want to go on a date with them.

It's a weird, weird world we live in. I do my best to focus on myself, and be the best version of me that I can. That is what this community means to me and how I strive to be influenced by it.

What does mgtow me and to you? Why do you care, what made you "wake up"?
