It’s true that he threw the first draft away and then she found it and read it and told him it was good. But to say it’s all because of her is ridiculous.

Many wanabe writers, almost all?, think their work sucks when they first write one and only when someone tells them they like it and that it’s good proceed to try and write more. Does that then mean that writer’s career, if it takes off, is because of that person?! It’s ridiculous.

Stephen King is the one who literally put in the work and wrote many novels. It’s because of him. The end.
