So, basically the main charachter is a bitch Cassey. I couldn't relate to her and her struggles in any way. She's cold, unemotionless, dull and one-sided. She can be violent and kill without any double-thinking.

A creep (who was also an alien in human body) started following her around, and then they hooked up and shit (but she didn't know who he actually was). She treated him like garbage and always complained no matter how well he served her. He even made her hamburgers in post-apocalypse world striken by war with aliens, which was a big deal. He saved her life multiple times, as well.

When she hit him with a plate (with food that HE made for her), he started crying and talking about his hurt feelings. Then he calmed down and let her manipulate him further.

She lived in his house disrespecting and using him and he never heard a word of gratitude. Then he risked his own life saving her ass and was exploaded by a shot of hunters. She even didn't give a shit, like yeah, I was a bitch to him, but whateva, you know how I be.

He actually survived and came back to her without trousers.

Rick Yancey claims to write young adult novels, but they look more like parodies and satire.
