I'm not across all the acronyms you guys use so you'll have to excuse the long form. This is a cautionary tale straight from the source of a 35yo female single parent.

She left her previous relationship for no other discernible reason than she was bored. The ex and father to the child still holds a candle for her even after she played the field extensively.

She now has a boyfriend of x years although he is noncommittal about moving in with her, has his own space and is reluctant to lose that. His income is far higher than hers (2 to 3x).

She's said she loves him but is frustrated he won't reciprocate and has suggested he seek therapy.

I suggested that maybe he didn't want to lose what he had and asked whether she'd be happier alone? Her response was gold: She wants a house for the child and to achieve that she needs him for financial security.

So all the talk of love and commitment is just that, bullshit to lock him into supporting her and her child.
