The Eagles/Don Henley run the gamut with that shit- so later on when he gets tired of her crap she became The Girl From Yesterday and then years later he's just trying to forgive all the hurt and be at peace again in The Heart of the Matter.

It's a little oversimplified to say a band's body of work is "cucked" when typically they cover many angles of relationship drama usually over many years as the artist's minds change.
