I don't think it's as difficult as many guys think. I gave up on sex and dating over a year ago. The first few months sucked, but everytime i thought about it i would just remember my reasons for dropping out.

Now i hardly think about it. I've accomplished more in the last year than in three years before that. I have no stress, other than my job. Financially i am killing it. I'm making tons of progress in life, and that's all i really care about. The hardest thing is when you see an attractive girl...but i just remind myself of all the problems they bring, and how it's never worth it, and that's it. The desire goes away.

I dont argue that intimacy is a natural desire, there has to be a way to perpetuate the species. When I see a pretty woman in public showing alot of skin my eyes are drawn about 1 second ( I am a man and its nature)

Negating this will hurt you more. Acknowledging this fact will make you more prepared in those situations. You might get the impulse for a few hours but then rationality will get in and you will understand why you feel the way you feel.

Knowing your weakness makes you stronger and not easily manipulated by women and the open sexualizing of modern times.

Casual sex is arguably the most dangerous sex there is. Not just for STDs, but that's the biggest cause of the "Baby Trap" relationships around.

Like you said, desire and being attracted is natural, we're human and going full monk isn't possible for most people. We all have varying sex drives and hormone levels, because once again we're human, we aren't all the same. A little sexual release can clear the mind, but as that old joke goes, "Don't let a $10 sundress turn into $100,000 in child support"
