Her: "I hate my mother."

Me: "Why?"

Her: "She didn't love my father.

He's a nice, responsible guy, with a good job. But she always nagged him, and eventually he cheated on her, and she divorced him.

I got to decide where I lived, since I was over 12; so I chose my dad's. But my sisters both had to live with her.

She got 33 percent of my dad's salary for child support. She was angry that I didn't choose her, since she would have gotten 50 percent. My mom never wanted to work for a living, she just lived off others.

I liked staying with my dad. If I did something wrong, he'd let me see that by asking me a thoughtful question.

My mom used to tell us we all looked like our father."

Me: "Wow, your dad was the good-looking one then."

Her: "Yes, but he was 24 when they married. That was considered 'old' in those days, since most people got married in their teens."

Me: "I feel sorry for your sisters. They must hate men."

Her: "Yeah, they say they'll never marry."

Me: "So, now that you're all grown up, and there's no more child support, what does your mother do for a living?"

Her: "She's a.... how do you say... astrologist?

She also met another nice guy. He let her and my sisters live with him. But she didn't like him, and eventually he left."

After spending some time with this chick, I'm fairly certain she'll turn out exactly like her mother. AWALT.
