I am 22 weeks pregnant and currently having one of the most pregnant-moment I can imagine -- crying over my cravings.

My pregnancy has been quite rough and my first trimester was a blur that consist of me bedridden, throwing up alot, and having lots of pregnancy brain issue, including: accidentally flushing my wedding ring down the toilet because "I don't want to touch the pee, so I need to flush first" and many more.

I finally begin to function more like an actual person after 17 week, being able to eat abit better and all, but I have been so emotional over food. Today is some of the worse yet.

I wasn't been able to eat much meat at all since I am repulsive to the smell of grease, but today I am craving chicken, turkey and ham. Intensely. And they must be roasted nicely and I want veggies with it. But for some reason the fact I wanted all 3 of these things at once over whelmed me, so I started crying. This is the timeline:

4:30pm - crying over how intensely I love my husband after a minifight.

5:00pm - husband wants to grocery store, I am thinking about needing a plastic bag for the full chicken we defrosted and planned to bake. Ended up can't decide what recipe I want to use.

5:15pm - realized that all the recipe that sounds good requires marination overnight. dinner ruined

5:20pm - wanting husband to get me turkey and ham. Because I want to nibble to some meat.

5:30pm - Husband tells me they probably don't sell turkey right now at may, and ham is expensive. I am getting frustrated and started crying because now turkey sounds really good.

5:45pm - husband is looking through coupons and I saw el pollo loco coupons. I want el pollo loco. I don't want to eat out because I have been feeling bad spending money on anything thats not baby related. I continued sobbing.

6:00pm - something on facebook reminded me of subway. i want a sweet onion chicken teriyaki subway now. i look for coupons because el pollo locos have coupons, so why does subway not have it. They dont have a good coupon. i continued sobbing.

6:30pm - I am getting progressively hungry and husband says he will get me whatever I want. I can't decide what I want. I am frustrated. Cried.

7:00pm - still can't make my mind up.

7:30pm - I miss my asian food (I'm an immigrant), but no restraunt here is as good as the ones back home. I think Im thinking about it because I am thinking about opportunity costs of el pollo loco.

8:00pm - I'm crying because I feel guilty of wanting to eat out.

8:30pm - frustrated that I cried too hard and now Im nauseous. So I lied down and continued to cry.

9:00pm - I cried because I lost my appetite. All the effort and thoughts gone to waste.

9:30pm - I want to eat again. Husband suggests ceasar salad. i dont know if I want ceasar salad.

10:00pm - husband got into a business call. I am feeling bad because I am so hungry and nauseous. Sobs.

10:30pm - husband got off the call. A huge deal went through. Husband asks if Im ready for ceasar salad. I don't know anymore. Husband says with the deal passing our income will increase by quite abit. I dont have to worry about money and restrain from eating out anymore. I want to eat out now.

10:45pm - I tried to make my mind up if I want el pollo loco or just a fast ceasar salad. When I decided I want el pollo loco I realized they are closing at 11. We won't make it. So I cried really hard.

11:00pm - husband comforts me and say we can by all the chicken and turkey and ham I want tomorrow morning. I think I'm too tired to go out (tomorrow morning. Makes no sense.) I cried.

11:15pm - decided I am too hungry and a ceasar salad will do the trick. Feeling better, and feeling funny that I cried 5 hours over chicken craving.

Just an interesting experience. So I'm sharing it. Plus I was so worked up for it and spent all these tears. Must get something out of it.

Tl;dr: I spent 4-5 hours crying because I am hungry/feeling-indecisive/missing-home/feeling-broke/feeling-nauseous-because-crying-too-hard/feeling-sad-because-no-longer-appetized/feeling-hungry again/hating-myself-for-indecisive.... All because chicken.
