I'm a sporadic reader on this sub and a few other sites but have never felt the need to comment.

I have a 40 yo sister who has never been able to get her life together. She was married for about 10 years and I thought everything was kosher. She gave birth to my two nieces who I love. When her husband left for another woman he was 'naturally' the bad guy. My sister not too soon after married another man that I told her she shouldn't because I believed it was just a reaction. The two of them lasted a few months maybe. After that, she was renting a place and I was sending her money every payday because I wanted my nieces to have things a little better than my sister could provide. After a year or so, my sister said she was going to quit her job because she didn't like her boss (a woman) and I told her that if she quit her job I would stop sending her money. She quit her job anyways. After a few month, what little money she had saved up ran out and she and my nieces moved in with my parents. For the last 2 years my parents have been paying all the bills and more. My Dad cosigned a car for my sister and has had to make multiple payments and my Mom has had to make more than one payment for my youngest niece's braces. All the while, my sister can afford to go to Hawaii last December and just bought a new iphone.

Anyways, that is all background...last week my sister told my parents she was in love with a woman. I know that is supposed to be accepted nowadays but fuck no, not in my family. My dad didn't want to come down too hard because he doesn't want her to end up 'living in her car' but my Mom told her that if she was to continue to live with them, she would have to cut the relationship off.

My sister has decided to move out and have both my nieces will live with their dad instead of cutting off her relationship with this other woman.

I may be rambling a bit but my point is women will choose what suits them above and beyond what is best for their children and the people that have helped them for years.

I just had to get this out...
