Asexual just means you dont have any sexual attraction. So straight guys arnt attracted to men. Gay men aren't attracted to women. Asexual men arnt attracted to either. Not really sure what kind of evidence your looking for. What would that study even look like?

You're basically describing a preference. To each his own. Everyone has their own anecdotal evidence that has lead to them to do or believe in xyz.
I know vegans who are bordering cult members by how they profess their veganism. Feminism is problematic in that aspect with members of that faction known to smear anyone who is critical of their movement.
But hey, some people seem to forget that we live in a country that let's us believe on whatever we to believe in so long as we're not harming those in our radius.

Its not really a belief. Prefrence is a good word. You can't really help what you like. I like coffee and I dont like tea. Some people dont like coffee or tea. Thats not something they choose to believe they just dont like coffee and tea.
Vegans usually eat that diet out of a belief. But still like the taste of meat but choose not to eat it. Which is like a straight mgtow. We have a sexual like of women but dont have relationships with them because of our beliefs.
Were born with certain taste buds just like were born with sexual preference.
But I agree its great we live in a country where we're allowed to disagree.
