If you're not going to college to be a scientist or an engineer, probably not.

If you want a job in IT/technology (and everything that falls under that vague heading), I would recommend you look into getting these certifications before you flush good money down the drain for the privilege of being graded like beef and indoctrinated into your local campus' Social Justice milieu.

CompTIA Security+

CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker.

GSEC: SANS GIAC Security Essentials.

CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

CISM: Certified Information Security Manager.

I would say stay away from college as it seems they mostly teach social brainwashing now. Learn a trade, how to build stuff, repair stuff etc. Or figure out how to work for yourself for the 9-5. Ideally you should find a way to do both.

The best thing I ever did was my computer science degree. I worked hard to develop my mental faculties and learned from the best how to live correctly. I didn't go for the certificate or job prospects. I went to become the best version of me. 9-5 you will survive easier for now, sure, or build up a safety net but you're alive just once, and once you hit 25 years you're basically stuck with whatever brain / personality you've managed to create before then.

You need to concentrate 100% on developing and molding yourself towards WHO you want to be, find the best role models / people (who are at the universities let be honest), and concentrate on improving your internal and thus potential - not on your current external position in life.
