One thing that puzzles and pisses me off from that very one-sided article:

Why wouldn't teenage boys start turning to MGTOW when they are force fed the shit that's spews forth fro Facebook, TV, and any other media source where girls the same age are given disinformation about how they are supposed to be when they are beginning to engage in the basic process of mating?

Everything about the process of finding an appropriate mate, one that is supposed to be with you for your life according to society, is so fucking twisted into a convoluted mess that all men are seeing something going on. And that something going on is nothing but pain and misery. Why wouldn't these youthful, soon to be men shy away from pain? Isn't that a natural response?

I feel sorry for them and at the same time applaud their early awareness to avoid the destruction of their enjoyment of this one chance to enjoy life. I'm envious that they get to find out this early and can adjust the game to fit in with their lives, unlike me when I discovered the internet halfway through a shitty marriage and MGTOW when I'm almost (possibly) 2/3 through my life.

I say happiness IS freedom and these young guys are gaining control of that. More power to them!!

what a bunch of tripe, talking about "life is about this, not this". bullshit. what does assclown know about life. they squirted out kids, worked a 9-5, well adjusted filthy casual? so what. we're all a bunch of fuckwits. none of us stared death in the eyes. we're dominated by guilt, doubt, shame, suspicion, and suspended disbelief. but people say, oh it's about communication, give and take. fuck that. no it's not.

Fuck these people, seriously. Instead of tackling the problem which they so clearly described in the first half of the article (so they understand it!), they choose to sidetrack and figure out ways how to either blame men or how to change men to fit the new mold.

As a teacher, my kids always ask me personal stuff and I'm always happy to say I'm never having kids if getting married.

When they ask why it's pretty easy to point out how the odds are not in your favour if you're a guy. Half of marriages end in divorce anyway and half of the ones stay together only because the guy doesn't want to lose all his stuff, including the kids. You probably only have like a 10% change of your marriage both lasting, and being happy. It's nice to see the light bulbs go off in the minds of my boys.

This Meredith Fuller quoted in the article doesn't offer up how these role models she wants in society are supposed to exist. Where are they going to come from?

The way the author puts this article together suggests that the men in "Tom"s life aren't good enough. Although it doesn't seem like either of them, his brother or his uncle, did anything wrong.

It's just intellectual noise without making the commitment to a real solution. If there was then they would be forced to deal with the reality of life for children now and their influences.

To anyone THAT paranoid ... I rather highly doubt that there is anything (at all) that wouldn't "feed the narrative."
