Summary: One key component men fail to understand in their pursuit of happiness and desire to obtain things in life is to ask themselves "What Do I Want?"
Body
I'm sure this post may seem a bit redundant to most users on here, however I still see some men fail to understand this; "What YOU want is the most important thing in life." NOT what you think others want. Your happiness is the only thing that matters, so why sacrifice it for others? Once you understand the importance of this you will live a more happier life than you once had.
The book "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Robert Glover covers this topic very thoroughly as the author describes men who fail to realize the importance of their needs.
This all comes down to men or how Robert Glover describes them "Nice Guys", acting in a way so they can please everybody but themselves in order to get approval or how we say it validation.
"By trying to please everyone, Nice Guys often end up pleasing no one — including themselves."
Validation
Again, to some this is a review. There is no possible way to be liked and validated by everyone around us. That is just not possible, no matter what you do or how you act there will ALWAYS be people who either support or oppose you. Therefore acting in a way so that you will be liked is beyond pointless. Instead of acting how you think others want you to act, you should act in the way YOU want to act, or whatever makes you happy. This way when you do get those who oppose your behavior, you will not be bothered as you are happy.
This brings me to my next point on how "Alpha's" understand this very clearly and "Beta's" don't and fail with women.
Interactions With Women. Beta vs. Alpha
I'm sure we have all heard of this types of men false dichotomy. The women love the "Assholes" and hate the "Nice Guys". Well that's obviously not true and Cate Gary explains it very well; http://i.imgur.com/VecOQZw.jpg
The Beta
The "asshole" is the one who acts in a way he believes the woman wants him to act. He attempts to try and cover up his intentions and behave in ways he does not like at all in order to gain her validation and get in her pants, and that my friend is an "asshole" and why beta's fail so horribly in the dating game.
"If I don't get angry she will-" "If I don't talk about what I want to do she will-" "If I buy her X she will-" "If I do X for her she will-"
"If I be "Nice" she will-"
Yeah you kind of get the point.
The Alpha
"Alpha's" on the other hand understand clearly that if they want to be successful with women they have to put themselves first and not act in a way they think others want them to.
We often hear the phrase "You're an asshole" a lot because women are used to dealing with men who put women on the pedestal and care for all their needs. He makes his intentions known. When he cold approaches women he "makes his intentions known"(sound familiar?) and doesn't try to do the "be nice/friends first" caveat bullshit. When he get's rejected he simply moves on as he understand not everyone will like him. When they "beta" get's rejected he starts to feel all indignant and victimized. "I acted X and did X, she owes me sex/relationship".
Women are attracted to these men because they KNOW what they want and do things that support it. They love themselves and put their needs first.
Closing
The correct response to the phrase "You're an asshole/narcissistic/self-centered/arrogant" is "I know."
I changed from being a altruistic beta utility to becoming the above adjectives and I am the most happiest I have ever been in my entire life. I achieve more, I'm in a better mood, and I can finally talk to women the way I've wanted to for so long and not feel some fake blue pill guilt.
Yes some hate, not everybody will like me. However it's a whole hell lot better than acting like a butler to everyone's desires and live a miserable un-hedonistic lifestyle.
At any given time I understand the question that is important; "What Do I Want?"
Lessons Learned:
- "What Do I Want?"
- Your needs are important.
- Your happiness is the only thing that matters.
