From my knowledge in this world I have noticed something. Sure, it's sad to say it, but long ago you wouldn't have to waste much money in a relationship with your girlfriend than a relationship with your wife, as you'd be expected to waste a ton on your wife at one point, around the late 70s to early 2000s I think. So here's my question, when did we truly mix these two up? Why must men think that they should have to waste so much money on a girlfriend where he would practically pay the same price if the woman were his wife? Dinners, gifts, bills, practically everything! At what point did women say "Well if you won't get married we might as well make this the same thing, fine by me!" That never made sense to me.
