I had an interesting conversation with my college friend. He is basically a chad in disguise, doesn't look like much, but gets more laid than any of us in our friend circle. He sleeps with a lot of women outside our town, always talking about avoiding relationships and marriage. Recently, we talked about an anime (My hero academia). One of the main characters is basically superman. One of the side effects of his super powers is that he has to be celibate/cannot make babies (perhaps they updated it by now, I don't know). Anyways, I ask him if he would take his powers in return for no children. He looked at me more seriously than usual and asked me "Would you?" I said "Of course, in. heart's beat I would". He seemed a bit disappointed and replied "I wouldn't. I do want to settle down and have babies eventually...just not now". Well that's it. It's not that I have anything against children (though I decided never to have them myself a long time ago), I was a bit disappointed. In the end he does believe in the notions of "love" and he hinted at that several times when we were watching movies etc.
