I'm new to the MGTOW community, so please forgive any stupidity/faux pas in this post.

So I have been reading this sub (and the MRA one) quite a bit for the past few months, and I really find a lot of appeal in the MGTOW concept. That being said, I find that a lot of the ideals about "don't contribute to society" are negated by the need to work in society. And work requires paying taxes. Even if you don't marry or have kids, and minimize consumerism, your taxes are taken whether you like it or not, and are used to support welfare for women. Even though you've minimized your contributions to a society that does not care about you, you're still giving a very substantial piece of your earnings to support that same society.

So my question is: how do you take it further? How would you support yourself while not paying taxes to this society?

I thought of homesteading and just growing and buying what you need, and bartering for what you want, but that has several problems. A) You need to buy property, and subsequently pay property tax, to even start this option. B) realistically you can't be completely independent and will need a vehicle, which will have its own costs. And C) realistically you're going to want some modern luxuries, if only internet and a computer to stay connected with the world to some degree. Even if you sold your produce/meat/crafts/whatever at farmer's markets and flea markets, you're still going to have to pay taxes, buy spaces, and "play the game" which inevitably supports society.

Another idea I had was to bust your ass now while living very frugally, retire, then doing the above with less work and effort, but that will just shift your contributions from a timeframe of most your life, to only have your life, with twice the effort but the same monetary contribution.

Is there just no way out of modern society? It feels like everything you do will only minimize your contributions, but never eliminate them or get them to such a low level that they are negligible. It seems like we're always going to be paying the lion's share of taxes and effort, one way or another.
