This has been going on for 8 years, she's been accusing the guy of rape and sexual assault. He's never been charged with anything and his defamation suit against her was thrown out of court. So my question is; how long do these women get to drag someones name through the mud without charges being laid, before it counts as defamation?

That's not necessarily true. Getting a case against someone is all about what you can prove, and it's required to have a prior law against it, and the fact cannot have expired it's statute of limitations (or whatever you Anglo people call it when a crime has prescribed).

Sure, in Kesha's case, she's trashy and down the gutter enough that her accusation can be at least considered to be a ploy for attention without having to stretch the possibility too much. But the fact that someone wasn't arrested doesn't mean that person didn't do it.

Case in point: Hillary Clinton.
