There's something I think is very much worth writing about that nobody ever seems to mention when it comes to relationships. (Fair warning: I'm not into the anger against women aspect. I get it, and I understand where most of you are coming from, it's just not my thing.)

Let's start by ignoring everything bad about relationships that we discuss here frequently: The deception, the mental warfare, the freeloading, the shit tests, all of it. And we can also start by assuming there's one specific girl you really like who's a bit unstable at times, but is overall a pretty cool chick. (Bear with me here.) Let's also assume that you've even convinced yourself that maybe you've found the NAWALT unicorn.

You still shouldn't consider an LTR to be an option. Here's why: In much the same way that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, a relationship is only ever as stable and as mature as its most unstable and immature member.

Is she bad with money, but level-headed? It won't matter. She will drag you down; you won't lift her up.

Is she smart and well educated, but needy, insecure and emotionally immature? She won't get better because of your influence on her life. You will get worse due to her influence on yours.

Relationships are only as rewarding as their least-productive member, and women have been consistently told since birth that no effort should ever be required of them.

Don't make this mistake of wasting your time, effort, and emotional resources on something that will ultimately give you nothing but misery and emotional problems.
