MGTOW isn't a cult. The hell.

A bunch of dudes just talking about how slutty women around the world/in the USA are and helping each other out with advice and not getting into relationships/marriages.

I got into MGTOW after women crushed my soul in 2 relationships. After devoting myself to them for YEARS out of my short probably 70 year lifespan, and I'm almost 30, 25 this year. I got fed up with it and discovered this subreddit and "movement", if you will, and have been happy ever since.

If I have to throw a label on not caring about women and not getting married or even being around women in my general, out of work life, fine, I will. Makes me feel better.

Doesn't matter to me, I can literally say I have 99 problems, but a bitch ain't one. And will NEVER be one in my life ever again.

I'm not the one who made that claim. Learn how Burden of Proof works. The Burden of Proof lies on the person making the claim. I never claimed ITT what you're asking evidence for.

YOU, on the other hand, ARE making claims (MGTOW is a cult, "Even when women are most fertile, they wouldn't cheat if the relationship is good. They would, in fact, be even more attracted to their partner") that require evidence to back them up.

But it's clear to me that you're just a cunthurt woman upset that men are not giving you enough attention, so you'll continue throwing a hissy fit and only furthering the ideas involved in MGTOW. Whatever helps you pass the time I guess.

What's more, you're making a claim that MGTOW is a cult, yet haven't proven that MGTOW is any sort of movement. It's not, it's an individual life philosophy that is appealing more and more to people with each passing year, something that clearly perturbs you.

Maybe some users hold that attitude but certainly not all. Even so, people have been told lies all of their lives. They've been spoonfed bullshit about romance and love, both illusory concepts, and told to hold them in high regard. Being a MGTOW encourages the downplay/total removal of those fictions, and there's nothing particularly wrong with that.

You are in absolutely no position to be making demands to anyone here. You cry that MGTOW is brainwashing men, when in reality it seeks to deliver the cold, hard truth, which is more beneficial in the long run.

About what? Your claim that MGTOW is a cult? For MGTOW to be a cult, that would require MGTOW to be a movement/group/collective of some sort. It's not, as was already said, MGTOW is rooted in individualism. Before you can throw around the cult label, you first have to prove that MGTOW is more than just an individual life-philosophy. Can't do that? Then sorry, your argument holds no weight.

By the way, I'm flattered you decided to check my history. But ultimately it shows how desperate you. Maybe that's why you had bad experiences with women. Desperation.

Mgtow is just men going their own way. Each man have their own way and mgtow is about individualism not collectivism.

I have nothing against women. I think the current situation is just that women are better off marrying and then getting divorced or making false accusations of rape/harassment on men and men are better off not having anything to do with women. Human behavior is hard to predict but more and more men are realizing this nowadays.

There's a difference between science and social science and there's more risk involved in human behavior. When statistics like divorce rates and alimony rates by gender stack against men, more and more men feel risky getting involved with women.

My simple answer - women are like drugs. MGTOW reminds me to maintain my freedom when thoughts about trying to woo a looker cross my mind. Like drugs, I know bad things will come from it but the intoxication is so tempting that I nearly don't care - then I come to my mgtow boards to see a fresh article about some guy who got boned in a divorce and all is right again.

edit: That's why talking about it is useful as opposed to just "silently" going my own way. And yes, if other young men can be saved from marriage - Hallelujah. Divorce distribution stats are my "hard" evidence.

I think there are guys who are trying to make it a cult-like movement similar to how The Red Pill or MRA are movements, but I also think "Going Your Own Way" by its very definition means that it can't be a cult. MGTOW is basically giving up, you can't really hurt someone if you're not actively engaging with them in the first place.

I think there's a lot of awkward spillover with TRP or MRAs in that they also see MGTOW as a place to complain about how evil women are, and the definition of MGTOW means that is a way you can go, but there's a lot of times I see posts complaining about woman and I'm like "TRP is over there..."

This brings me to my next point - you do realise that a lot of your statements is pseudo-science and oversimplified evolutionary psychology, right? If you had read a single evolutionary psychology book in your life, and compare that with healthy relationships out there, you would realise that whether or not a woman would cheat depends on the quality of relationship. Even when women are most fertile, they wouldn't cheat if the relationship is good. They would, in fact, be even more attracted to their partner.

So here's the thing. We're the losers of whatever relationship or sexual rat-race exists. We either lost by not being able to get our foot in the door (I'm this type) due to whatever reasons, or we lost by being the all-too-real divorcee, or we lost by being cheated on, whatever the case. We lost. We don't have the money, the status, the looks, the charm or whatever else it takes for a man to be able to "win" with women.

And the amount of work, vs the risk that it doesn't pan out, is a calculation we've made and we've determined that, already being a loser or already having thought we won only to lose big, that the risk/reward doesn't pan out. We might win, but it's more likely we're not, and we're going to have increasingly work harder for someone else's benefit and not our own, just on the off-chance we get noticed or find a "good" one who doesn't represent a flight-risk, or an asset-risk, or even a waste-of-time risk (this gets important as you get older).

You know what isn't a flight risk, or an asset risk? My XBox. You could call it a waste-of-time, but it's going to be no more a waste of time than chatting up some random girl I don't care about and aren't interested in at a bar that I don't want to be at or spending my money in. And for the most part, if my time with my XBox isn't fun, it has nothing to do with my status, my social skills, my financial situation, my ambitions, my looks, my height or whatever else, it's just a referendum on my choice in games or my gaming skills.

And this isn't even brainwashing, women will flat out reject you for not being "ambitious" enough, not having enough money, etc. If the size our wallet is the difference between acceptance and rejection, that literally means that you are incapable of caring about us as people unless we bring material that benefits only yourself. Just because you win doesn't mean we win, and I would rather be a loser and a "social deviant" than being someone who's only working to help someone else win while I myself ultimately lose.

I don't need science or documentation to know that when I touch fire it burns. Experience is the most cruel and efficient tutor there is. Also I think you need to research cult behavior. MGTOW is more or less a decentralized loose set of guidelines for surviving as a male in today's social environment, nothing more. No one here is praying to Jim Jones, being brainwashed, or socially isolated from their families.
