Men going their own way started because of a common observation that the women we previously loved and cherished emotionally took advantage of us through child-like behavior or manipulation of the system:

Cheating on us with the Chads.
Requesting a divorce to "find themselves" while enjoying the alimony.
Graciously and freely giving sex to the top 20%, while leaving the bottom 80% men to beg.
Turning us into friend-zoned orbiters not worthy of a date.
Witholding sex during the relationship as a form of punishment or tool to get what they want.

While we admit to being a self-selected group of people, the number of common shared experiences with women is just too damn high. So instead of spending time and effort seeking relationships (that will probabilistically fail), we choose to drop out of the system entirely.

Modern relationships and marriage are obviously a bad deal. So a number of men would come to this conclusion with or without mgtow. Basically mgtow was started by feminists.

MGTOW is a way of life, not a movement or a cause. We are not men's right activist or anti-women. That's not the focus. MGTOW is basically doing what we want. Its OK not to marry. Its OK to not be a father. Its OK to be gay. Its OK not pursue the suit and strip everything behind to do what you want. Notice I never once said anything negative about women. Women are not the focus, our lives are.

Yes, there is many posts with a negative view of women. I joined this sub before it had 5000 people in it and it was way calmer then. Misogyny is not the aim.

If women want leadership, more responsibilities, more money and more accountability, go ahead and let them. Why break my back?

As for me, women are entitled nowadays and do not appreciate men well. Divorce rates are high. Marriage doesn't last long. Its easy to lose sight fidelity. They all want kids. I'm not suited for the demands of marriage and its risks. Its not wworth it. Plus, they flake out and women are rude at club unless you're tall.
