I would never want to date this one of my ex's again, but I do occasionally get to see newer photos of her (it's been many years since the end of the relationship).

One thing that has been pointed out on this group is how women on dating websites use various digital image enhancements to make themselves look better in their dating website photos.

I have noticed that almost all of the newer close-up face pictures of my ex online are precisely that. One is black-and-white with reduced detail. If I remember correctly, it was almost like a poor-quality black-and-white photo in an old newspaper, the detail was so bad. Another one, her face looked like it had been changed to all the same solid skin color -- like a fashion dummy in a store. It was hard to tell if she had created a full makeup mask, or if there was digital enhancement involved. Maybe both? It didn't look very natural.

If I hadn't had read about all these "photo gimmicks" on this group, I would have thought: She still looks pretty good, but I wish she had better quality photos. Now, I honestly wonder exactly how middle-aged she would look with no makeup, in person. Hey, I know that I have aged since I knew her; it's interesting to think how she has probably experienced that herself.
