As with any/all of these "demographic concern troll" articles, it is most interesting to me to see that they ALWAYS very carefully and purposefully and artfully avoid even mentioning the "elephant in the room": abortion.

BTW the abortion rate in California was ~19.5 per 1,000 (women of reproductive age) in 2014 (a decline from a high of ~23 per 1,000 in 2011 (*)

Compare that to the live birth rate the article cites: 12.4 per 1,000 (unsure if that is total population or "women of reproductive age" because the data file the article links to comes back with a "404 file not found" error).

You can't really blame feminism for this one though. America is no longer a young underpopulated nation. Its population cannot keep growing rapidly forever.
