Someone posted earlier that Muslim men started posting on this subreddit in increasing numbers in an attempt to gather recruits who were dissatisfied with gynocentric society. I actually wanted to draw some parallels that I had observed. Background, I was raised in a Muslim family (the women don't wear hijab and we exchange gifts on Christmas so we're not hardline or anything) and I don't align myself to any religion.

Most societies have been gynocentric. Patriarchies existed to protect women at the expense of men. It made sense back when humans were at the mercy of nature and we needed fertile females to continue our species. Islam has always been expansionist (so have most religions, however other religions have scaled back their attempts to forcibly convert "nonbelievers") and it made sense hundreds of years ago when tribes of people would go into all-out wars and exterminate their enemies.

Recently our gynocentric society has gone the way of 3rd wave feminist SJW full-retard. Recently Islam has also gone full retard with Al Qaeda and ISIS. Islam wasn't always this way. For example, ISIS destroyed countless artifacts in Syria that hundreds of generations of Muslims had previously left alone. So Islam was actually more tolerant in the past, hard to believe I know.

Mens-rights activists and Trad-Con have been trying to overhaul our gynocentric society to make it more palatable for men and try to salvage it. There have also been "moderate Muslims" and "Reformist Muslims" who want to overhaul parts of Islam, particularly its aggressive expansionist nature in order to modernize Islam for the 21st century. I have observed the former groups to be rather ineffective in their accomplishments.

MGTOW realize the true nature of females and walk away rather than trying to reform society. Some MGTOW actually go so far as to find alternatives to relationships with females: prostitutes, artificial wombs, fleshlights, non-sexual activities that consume one's time and energy, etc.

Islam needs its own version of MGTOW, i.e. people realizing the true nature of institutionalized religion (not just Islam) and walking away instead of trying to reform it.
In fact Islam needs some straight up MGTOW. Young men should simply refuse to be pawns and focus instead of self-improvement, as opposed to "martyring" themselves for the promise of their 70+ virgins (the virgins thing isn't actually mentioned in the Quran). In the past MGTOW such as Avicenna and Alhazen were responsible for scientific and mathematic advancements from the Muslim world.

Apostates such as myself are the closest Islam has to a "MGTOW" movement but we are few and far between. Feminists and trad-cons try to shame MGTOW. Jihadists and many "moderate" Muslims view apostates, like me, as traitors.

Anyway, just wanted to rant.
