This is so true. In all of my relationships not once has the woman actually added anything of lasting value either to my life or the relationship. Instead, they held me back from my true potential.

Can confirm from real world experience. When I was in my mid-thirties my program was defunded suddenly by upper management. Overnight I became dead wood. I started scrambling for another job. The one I found was actually a promotion, to a level I never thought I would get to in my career. I sort of fell up. One of the guys I worked with, a family man, on hearing about my promotion said, "Yeah, but it's only because you were able to move." Jealous much?
