It kind of tears my heart out. I have a buddy who is trapped in a very shitty marriage. They are both "death fats" as far as I'm concerned. They have two kids (thankfully only one is fat). He works TWO JOBS, while she stays at home and needs care b/c she is "disabled".

My buddy gets walked on by his family. She makes snarky comments on his facebook posts. His kids take advantage of him. They complain he doesn't spend enough time at home. They shame him when he tries to diet.

There is no helping this man. If he tried to leave he'd be divorce raped.

So, I told him to stay strong and silent. To do himself. Go to the gym, and if they complain you're not around often enough TOO BAD FOR THEM. I wish he'd listen, but he won't. He is firmly a slave to his wife and kids, and in a bad way. He has no respect. He is the workhorse not the provider.

It is sad.

It makes me so thankful I got divorced before having kids or it could have been me.
