Women have always relied on a family or tribe to support and protect them so they desperately care what the group thinks of them. They are careful to tailor the group's opinion of them by virtue signaling and making sure their down sides are hidden.

Because men have always been the resource collectors for women, and when other collectors met each other they've realized that instead of pointless fighting they should join forces, and combine their women under the same roof for maximal effiency and progress. Multiply this event a hundred times, and you have a village full of women getting along with each other and men collecting resources for them and improving their living conditions.

The abundance of resources leads to women demanding individual houses etc.. surplus resources are diverted to prettying things, and since people start eventually expect the things they grow used to, these things become the new norm. It's easy to demand when you don't have to put the effort in getting them. Men grow more and more weary, but to keep up with the new norm there can be no slacking. So women must hold meetings to discuss strategies and gossip about their workers if one of them happens to become below standards(e.g. burning out).

Naturally this evolves to a society where women reward the best worker "Good boy, here's some pussy for you, but next time you'll have to do a bit more for your reward", and to keep the resources coming, they must hold the line i.e. uphold the own group preference. Thus creating competition among men (the avoidance of this is why the village was founded by men) Women judge other women by their resource gatherer, so it becomes the man's fault that other women do not respect her, "WORK HARDER so the others respect me!!!!" and this leads to usage of status symbols, make ups and to stuff that enables women to steal other women's mindless worker drone out of envy.
