You know, a few months back I made the observation that, instead of a "bachelor tax," we were going to be subject to a "bachelor austerity" in order to pay for the gynocracy of single mothers, women's healthcare, and special accommodation for women.

Part of this austerity cannot help but include veteran's benefits, as that is the entitlement most utilized by men, and underutilized by women, in this country. I was called a fool back then, "Scetis...it'll never happen. It just isn't politically feasible. The blowback would be immense."

Yet it is happening, perhaps because the blowback can be written off as "male entitlement" from "disreputables."

If this stands, expect this to happen to the regulars in a decade.

It's not a surprise - this government hasn't given a fuck about veterans for ages. Washington himself didn't pay his soldiers and was forced to execute deserters. IMO, joining the military as a job or for pay is a poor excuse and you'll be sadly disappointed. You could easily make more money elsewhere.
