That line always bugged me.
Have any of you ever had a woman tell you when you were single, whether by choice or by force, that "You will find someone someday. Everyone does."
Of course, these women were in relationships. Many of them never spent a minute without one. But that line always bugged me, and I usually answer with this statement.
"There are plenty of people who spend their entire lives without getting in a relationship."
I never really understood it. It seems many women have this, I'll say indoctrinated, belief that there is someone who the universe rightfully made to mate for possibly life. Like this vast, infinite universe looked at this mudball, saw every person on said mudball, pre-determined that two particular people with opposing(or in some cases, identical) genitalia would be created to mate on said mudball for life, and that out there, somewhere, is that person waiting for you to show up to their so that they can finally stop searching and get to hooking up.
While that may seem a comforting thought, it's littered with predestination, which obliterates the idea of free will.
No one is entitled to a relationship. I think women like saying that a guy will find someone when he's single for many reasons.
She doesn't want to come out and say that he's undesirable to her, and possibly others, due to their general risk averse behavior.
Women value relationships more than men, because it is a status symbol. In a way, it's telling others they succeeded in life, purely by proxy of who they are with. While guys do want to love, to many of them, it isn't as big of a deal to be single(and in many cases, men are USED to being single) than women.
It promotes a sense of fairness when it comes to relationships, which are built on varying levels of attractive. To admit that the mating game isn't fair is to admit that women don't give guys equal chances. If there's one thing I have learned from the majority of women, is that they do NOT, in any capacity, want to look like the bad guy.
There are men out there that no matter what they do, simply cannot attract women. There are guys out there that can attract women but simply don't WANT TO.
Problem I am seeing is that society in general idolizes relationships so much. Many guys(and to an extent, women) grow up with this idea that in order to matter in life you have to have the approval of someone with a vagina who sees you as an attractive person. This is usually fed by our natural(I repeat, natural) urges and desires to mate. When those aren't being fed, we feel bad. Then we associate that feeling bad with personal failures.
And due to trying not to fail so hard at this, we crush our self esteem in its pursuit.
This is why ways of thinking, like MGTOW, is so important. In a society where essentially being a man is considered a disposable afterthought, it's great to remember that you, and you alone, can find contentment in life. No wet hole can do that for you.
Relationships don't last forever. Hell, nothing does. If anything did, we'd be bored of it.
Enjoy the moment. Just don't center your whole life around one special moment(cough marriage cough)
