Greetings, lurker here.

Now, I am well-aware that this type of thread does not really belong here, but I've been thinking about the term "love," and its meaning. I came to a conclusion, and I would like to hear your honest opinion on the matter.

But before I get started, I would like you to just write your definition of love in the comment box, and continue reading (without posting the comment for now). If you don't want to do this, I understand.

Even throughout blue pill years of my life, I never really understood why friendships and family love is so eclipsed by romantic love. In movies, novels, etc. Hell, even in real life, people put more value to romantic relationships. Don't get me wrong, relationships were valuable, but they weren't and most likely never will have that companionship that we crave.

What do I mean by this?

A woman will never have your back like your brother (blood-related, comrade, best friend) would. In fact, if something went south, your woman would leave you for dead, unless she really has no other options (can't monkeybranch, for instance). Women by nature are solipsistic. They can't really afford to be affected by your problems. I mean, sure, there are exceptions where a woman stood by her husband even in his darkest hours, but that's what they are - exceptions, perfectly normal, though at the same time very, very rare.

Now let's look at good friends and family. They will be there for you; they will fight by your side. They'll give you good advice, step in and help you. A woman would not (in most cases). Your friends and family will not get "turned off" when you tell them that you have it rough. They don't want you to lead them. To provide for them. They won't remove you from their lives as easily as a woman would. You really gotta fuck up for them to do such a thing.

This is why, in my opinion, true friendship and family love is the closest thing to the true love bullshit we've been fed from the day we were born. While romantic love is, as Rick eloquently said, "Just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed." If you're the social type, I think you should definitely focus a bit on strengthening your bond with your male friends & family.

Thoughts?
