Hey. So, I grew up in a house with a mom and dad. At one point, I found my parents' marriage license. Turns out they got married 5 months before I was born.

My parents also had my brother, then my sister.

Later on, the girlfriend my dad had, about a year before I was conceived, contacted him, and told him her daughter was actually his, despite the fact that she told him the baby wasn't his, and that she was gonna go back to the boyfriend whose kid it was.

I was maybe 19 or 20 at the time, when we all found out about this half sister. My dad was not happy that he had been lied to, especially since she was a year older than me and her mom wanted my dad to pay child support. Nevermind that my half sister was an adult living by herself. Nevermind that my dad had been told she wasn't his.

So, no legal reason for her mom to get any money from him. Still, I occasionally keep in touch with the half sis.

This whole thing made me realize, though... my dad may not have been looking to get married to my mom.

Here I am in a world where divorce and infidelity are common. Where men are treated like idiots. And I'm expected to bow to feminist bullsh*t AND still do everything. Or worse, the woman is "miss independent" and sees no reason to commit fully to the relationship.

So... where does that leave me?

I don't want to go from woman to woman for the rest of my life. No point in the long run and just a waste of my time. I also don't want to stick to one woman only for her to get more and more difficult to deal with as time goes by.

I can be single for a long time. I'm 29 right now and have only had three serious girlfriends, one that was an on and off thing for 2 or more years, another that was 10 months, whatever.

Point is, I can stay single for years at a time and I'm not crying out that I need a significant other or some other emo bullsh*t.

However... I've noticed that I only seem to get anywhere in life when a woman is the motivator.

I started going to college (a hard one to get into, btw) and got my bachelor's. I moved out of my parents' house, left my hometown, and got an apartment with a roommate, along with a part time job that pays my bills.

I ended up visiting Europe.

All of these things, because of the hope of securing a future for a long term relationship with a woman with whom I thought I'd have a stable relationship, hopefully even, one that would last a lifetime.

Great. Progress in life.

But if I'm just single, life seems to stay still. Sure, I go partying with friends and coworkers, head out to grab a pint at a nice, quiet pub, chat with the guys at the cigar shop's smoke room, and generally just enjoy life.

So, this whole MGTOW seems to be what I was doing, but I know from what my life has been like that I'd probably just not get far in life if I don't have a visible motivation for starting a family.

So... MGTOW sounds fun. But life goes nowhere (for me, personally) without hope for starting a family.

What to do? What's your life like, brosefs?
