tl:dr My son missed out on a vacation because I am ~~a shitty~~ not a clairvoyant dad.

No... if you intentionally excluded your son that would make you a shitty dad. Not catching that your cunt ex is pulling a fast one on you and your son makes you a victim you moron.

But on Friday, my ex-wife calls and tells me that my son wants to go on her trip instead. I was very angry and asked to speak to my son. I could hear him whining in the background saying he didn’t want to talk. My first mistake was thinking he was referring to me. My second mistake was not trying to call him myself.

I provide my daughter her own cell phone so we can interact more often and so I can always know where she is... my ex forces her to leave it in the truck so we can't communicate. Yeah should have tried to call and then just go get him... you were tricked into not doing so guy.

When we finally landed and turned my phone back on, I had almost 150 texts and 50 missed calls from my son and my mom. I went through the texts and realized that my son waited outside our house for nearly 4 hours before he called my mom.

She shoots and she scores... being emotionally shallow means that this kind of manipulation is on the table for most women. Not a chance they experience the same breadth & width of emotional response you do as a guy, and it's cruelty is only matched by its pointlessness.

I hope any parents getting divorced will read this and not repeat our mistakes. Don’t try to hurt each other using your kids.
