Yes! They think they can't hurt you so they think its ok. I had this happen a few times. It stopped when I said, I would hit her back if she did it again. Never happened again.

They also think that the cops will take you away after they lie and the bigger you are, the more they will believe the girl. I totally believe it cause its happened to me... not the "abuse" part but aggressive hitting.

Had a high school girlfriend that kept telling me to hit her, she dared me and I never did. But I was 14 and knew well enough to know not to. But today, Kpowie! <--- maybe not, but right now I feel like I would. ha ha.

Chances are, she's counting on the guy being one of those "I don't hit women" types and take full advantage.

Ironically, the women who actually do get beat up by their thuggish SO are also the type to cry "BUT I LOVE HIM" whenever someone suggests leaving him.

No. If they are altering their behavior because they are frightened and it is reasonable for them to be frightened based on the circumstances then they are being abused.

I actually have videos of my ex committing domestic violence against me a few times! She would do this in front of the children! what a cunt! anyway, on the last occasion, I ran out the house and went to the police department. I was very shaken! I sat with the cop and showed him the videos of what just happened. He looked at me and said, "you did the right thing, of leaving the house and coming here." He said, "that woman is clearly not afraid of you!" he said , "go file a domestic violence complaint against her right now, and you will get a restraining order immediately, if you show these videos!" I did it! She was kicked out of the house and never permitted to return! I also have videos of her getting extracted from the house with the police there! It is priceless! the anger in her face and comments while she was putting her clothes in trash bags was priceless! I'm thinking of posting them to youtube to show guys what domestic violence looks like! do you guys think I should post them for educational value for men?
