It's fun to watch these slow motion car crashes known as relationships.

I have a friend who is in a seemingly one sided relationship like that. They have no kids, they don't want kids, but the wife doesn't work. She sits around all day doing nothing. She doesn't even cook. I'm reasonably certain she's not cheating on him because she's unattractive and has no friends, but the two seem really happy together. I don't know why that relationship works, but it does.

I hope those people in the reddit story have a great marriage, but I'm guessing the entire thing will fall apart eventually. It's only a matter of time before one person feels used or unappreciated, and the law is set up in such a way that strongly encourages divorce.

Bryan from that story is setting himself up for divorce. She will have 2 kids from him. He will be married for 12-14 years. One fine day she will initiate divorce-rape proceedings because she will find some fault in him such as "my life is ruined because I never got a chance to go and work in the industry".
