Makeup: A basic amount of makeup worn to look a bit better and in white-collar jobs, the minimum amount women need to wear to be seen as professional.

Cakeup: An excessive amount of makeup worn and applied by amateurs in the hopes they will look better.

Fakeup: Professionally applied makeup designed to make the face look different, in particular the use of contouring techniques.

Bare Makeup: A variation of fakeup where the goal is to make the person look "naturally" better so it appears that they are not wearing makeup at all.

When I say amateur or professional, I was referring to their skills in applying makeup rather than if it their livelihood or not.
