You know somehow I think this take on it -- that it's "Sperm Jacking" -- is far more likely than that the cumulative failure rates are that high. (Although, given that the count is NUMBER of PREGNANCIES per 100 women -- not number out of 100 women who get pregnant -- IOW some women out of that 100 had MULTIPLE pregnancies {and either aborted or birthed, probably a lot of the former in the cases of "truly accidental"}).

But regardless of whether these rates are "truly accidental" (where the BC failed) or if they are "accidentally on purpose" (aka sperm-jacking, where the claim that the BC failed is simply a LIE) -- regardless it is IMPORTANT for men (especially TRP & PUA types) to understand these figures...

Men may THINK they're being careful... but that don't mean some cum-receptacle ISN'T going to be able to sucker-punch the guy with a pregnancy/child-support trap; I know several guys (especially young guys) who had their lives totally F'd over in that way; thinking that just because you "wrapped you package" you are entirely IMMUNE from becoming and unexpected daddy-slave... well it's really rather naive.

Also, the related article "Beyond Marriage" is probably an equally important read -- guys have to keep in mind that there are PLENTY of women who are LOOKING to get pregnant, and who WILL NOT bat an eye at "stealing" some guy's sperm... and even if (initially) they are all "I can do it on my own" and don't expect/plan on nailing the guy (or some backup-beta) for money... that can (and often does) quickly change once the pregnancy progresses and/or after the child is born, when all of the bills start to come in, and/or the woman suddenly realizes that (SHIT!) this is gonna cost a LOT more, and be a LOT more difficult than she had "dreamed" that it would be... and at THAT point, she's likely to come after your wallet/paycheck (and if SHE doesn't then the STATE very well might, and they don't really give a shit whether you're the actual "bio" dad or not... whoever she names is in store for a rough time).
