Fuck the gender pay gap...lets talk about something that more accurately represents the real world that men live in. The "income distribution gap"...who cares how much someone earns, lets look at how their income is actually distributed (how many people the money supports).

Whether people want to admit it or not, men are typically expected to support more people than just themselves. Women much less so. A woman living of a man's income (with or without kids) is entirely acceptable, a man living of a woman's income is a loser. So a woman is much less likely to be sharing her income. In Hillary Clinton's world a man on 110k a year who supports a wife and 5 kids is in a privileged position compared to a woman on 100k a year that spends her disposable income on Jimmy Choo shoes, spa treatments and 1000 dollar handbags.

Its been mentioned before that a women's work in the home is never recognized. Well lets change that. A man on $110k supporting a wife working in the home, lets ascribe a $55k wage to the wife and a $55k wage to the man. That's fair isnt it? That accurately represents both the work being done and how the money is typically spent. How do the societal averages look then when we know that men are vastly more likely to be sharing their income than women? It would not surprise me at all if taken as a broad average (including married and single people), that women are actually financially better off than men.

Of course there will be numerous exceptions to this but like the apparent 10% pay gap (whether true or not) we are talking about averages across society.
