I never really understood why there's a minority of MGTOW who feel that porn is somehow harmful. Porn/fapping is only positive; it just removes recurrent urges that would drive you up a fucking wall. Non-sexual urges for female companionship are much, much harder to deal with because there's no real fix for wanting affection like a hug or holding hands.

Obviously sex is great, but I can't get stiff just because I see females. That shit stopped midway through grade 8 or so. Females think all men can fuck at the drop of a hat because they spend their time having one night stands with the small group of men who don't need any emotional connection.

Some of you may not believe the research done with yourbrainonporn.Com. but it makes complete sense that masturbating to something that has such a strong stimulating affect. My impression of NoFap is that it is a tool to be used primarily by PUAs. If I go too long without fapping, I'll either get extremely sexually sensitive and tender, or I'll end up just having a wet dream in the middle of my sleep. My philosophy on this is just go with whatever helps you be a MGTOW; NoFap for ME seems counterproductive as a MGTOW.

My basic view is that it's a vice. It is a vice that is not terrible if kept under control. I personally wish I had no sex drive or very low sex drive, but I know that is not possible without affecting hormones... and I like my testosterone levels where they are. I agree the more you do it, the more it becomes a habit, and then you do it more. For example I often find that the night after I masturbate, I will have a wet dream. But if I don't, I almost never do.

It feels very draining to me to masturbate more than once every two~three days. I think for me once a week would be about right, or even once every two weeks if I could manage it. I find it very easy to reduce masturbation without porn. If it's been less than a week, I only have the strong motivation when I see porn. But if it's been less than a week, without porn I will just say "nahh can't be bothered". The reason for this is it is less stimulating, and it takes longer. I think one of the negative things of excessive porn use is it can reduce masturbation time, so when you go to have sex, you can;t last very long.

The biggest issues for me are two. Firstly, I feel drained if I masturbate too much, and I often regret it. And secondly, I think that being a MGTOW, it is bad for me to have a dependence on women in any form including sexually. Whilst there may be a biological component, I definitely think that the sexual appetite is over inflated in modern times.

For me the abstinence is pretty helpful. I'm not alpha. I don't like it, but that's just how it is. I don't have much experience with women. That plus the sex drive has led me to put women on a pedastal. I delved into some weird fetishes. Stuff that leaves you with zero self respect after fapping.

However, after not watching porn and masturbating for some time my self worth and mood rebuilds. I start to feel good about myself. With increased self worth I'm less likely to be manipulated. At times I'm also more horny, but overall it improves my standard of living.

I understand that this is completely useless to people who had enough experience with women. They just want to get it out of their system to be able to relax again. But for me it's really useful.
