I saw a guy in a supermarket begging his 1/10 (thin, but profoundly ugly) wife/girlfriend loudly for permission to buy a cheesecake. He was trailing behind her while she ignored him and walked quickly away from him, yelling "no".

I never felt so bad for a man in a cage.

I saw her and was gave off a strange look because, it seemed like he could do better that. He looked at me with the most saddest eyes (like save me please, let me be free). She was commanding him to carry groceries from the car while she was strutting around doing nothing. Then I realized, relationships aren't all that great. This guy wished he was walking around all alone free, like a bird out of its cage.

In all likelihood he had indeed been "trapped" and "caged"... via marriage and/or children.

She may not have been (probably wasn't) always the "whale" that she now appears to be. There are a host of "tricks" (makeup, hair, etc -- not to mention actions like binging and purging) that women are capable of using in order to alter their appearance, and to create the illusion of an attractiveness that is almost entirely fake/false, and they do so purposefully to achieve their goal ("capturing" a provider male); once that is achieved, many of those same women then no longer see any point in the efforts to maintain that artificial facade of "attractiveness". (And while it is difficult to believe, a woman* can go from relatively slim {while still eating a lot, but binging & purging} to minor cetacean size {i.e. gaining 50+ pounds} within a matter of months, and to full-blown "whale" status {i.e. double or treble original weight} in about a year -- and they don't really have to alter their eating habits, they just stop with the purging ... I've seen it happen several times. Keep in mind that weight goes on a lot faster than it can come off.)

The plain truth of the matter is that the vast majority of women who are labeled as "high SMV" (on a scale relative to an image of an "ideal women" that is crafted and promoted ad nauseum by the media of TV, Movies, and publications) -- are in fact quite ugly if you remove all of the layers of "paint".

Where ever this guy is, I hope he breaks it off soon. He doesn't deserve such torment. What are some of your stories?

Well while in the wider sense that I don't think ANY creature deserves to be tormented...

Even still, he WAS once a "free agent", and while he may have been tricked, duped, trapped... he made multiple choices and had multiple opportunities along that path to escape.

Ergo whether he "deserves" it or not is irrelevant. I really don't feel "sorry" for him... he made his own proverbial "bed" (i.e. he is simply enduring the consequences of his own actions, his own choices, and his own priorities).

* It isn't just women, because this can easily happen with men as well -- and in fact it often does, especially as an aftermath with guys who went on some "extreme-workout/body-building" regime (consuming lots of calories while undergoing intense muscle building exercise), and then -- for whatever reason {sometimes it's unintentional/unplanned, as in an accident or injury} -- they abruptly STOP the exercise program. The mass of muscle quickly loses it's tone, and since the brain and body have typically become habituated to a high-volume food intake the high-calorie diet usually continues (because to stop THAT requires a vast amount of willpower, enduring significant "hunger" and portioned/rationed meals to allow the stomach to slowly "shrink" to a more moderate diet) ... with the end result being a "blob" body within a matter of months. (And of the several rather "obese" men I know, nearly all of them were previously into "body building" {in quotes because they weren't doing it competitively} and diet/workouts... usually associated with high-school or college football.)

Plus I think it's important to note (and something few people realize) is that a lot of the "gut blob" can easily be a combination of gas-bloating & salt+water retention (like the after-thanksgiving meal "bulge")

Whereas by contrast (and this too is something most people don't fully realize) a lot of the "flat tummy" part of the "uber physique" of bodybuilders (especially with anything in the media; films, modeling photo-shoots, or competitions) is a not just "well toned" muscle, but a carefully crafted "image" via a combination of both multi-day pre-display "prep" routines, including minimal eating & drinking {and sometimes even laxatives & suppositories, yup you read that right}, plus short-term immediate vascular after-effect from quick "pump up" exercise, as well as various "cosmetic" trickery (oils, tanning, lighting, and yes even "makeup", etc) and of course "posing" technique. This guy does a pretty good job of demonstrating the contrasts in this video -- showing how rather radically different body/physique presentations can be created in fairly short order (and obviously if a person reverts to a "gut-gas-bloating" diet and forgoes the exercise, it begins really rapidly to return the person's physique to a rather less impressive form).

this guy who bought my motorcycle showed up on a nice benz. Super clean E350. white. so after the deal I said nice car, walked around.. and on the whole drivers side, there where huge dents and holes everywhere! I was like woah, what happened? his wife did it... why? he had to go on a business trip with a WOMAN, she got paranoid and started to beat his car.

Wait a minute...you deduced the entire story of this couple from a 5 second encounter? How do you know he was anywhere near unhappy? A "sad look in his eyes" is the ultimate anecdotal 'evidence'. How do you know that she didn't have an injury or condition where she was unable to carry the bags? How do you know that he doesn't find her attractive?
