You likely still care for her because it's in our biology to care for people, because you're new to MGTOW and haven't gone your own way, and because caring is generally what we do for people we like when it comes to the social contracts of friendships and relationships - and make no mistake, all relationships are transactional in nature, otherwise we wouldn't bother. In time - the hurt and shit will fade, but there are plenty of obstacles and crutches between here and there, and she will likely be one of them. In general - men seem to be at a consensus on this sort of thing. Say good riddance, and move forward with your life with no reservations. Learn to stand on your own two feet, rather than relying on validation from women and all their cohorts, which few people mention, is often easier said than done.

As for the "best friends" thing, that is woman speak for "i'm full of shit.". In all seriousness, what would that even look like? Are you guys going to exchange cookie recipes and discuss the political and philosophical implications of MGTOW? Seriously - even if she isn't a total cunt (and she does sound like one? ), she will wind up using and relying on you more than you will need or rely (or can trust) her, and once she has a new dude, you will be secondary or out of the picture (plenty of desperate men out there who new women to validate their existence) I mean. I'm giving you the short answer here, as all this is far more nuanced than "fuck these stupid bitches." I get it - you were friends - but you're broken up now, and apparently it was her choice. If I was in your shoes - well, I wouldn't be in them at this point in time, but I'd essentially say "see ya in the next life."

Also. What does long distance mean in this case? How often did you see and/or fuck you? For whatever support you gave her - how much "love and support" did she give you? Also - what were her best reasons for breaking up with you - and do you think she is even being honest about that? For all you know, she gave you bullshit answers and the reality might be that she found some feminist lap-dog asexual trans-femesist potato-kin boy to finger bang her while you're away.
