Assuming you don't want the kid, you have four possible scenarios, ranked best to worst:

She doesn't get the $2000 and aborts anyway
You give her $2000 and she aborts
She doesn't get the $2000 and has the baby
You give her $2000 and she has the baby anyway

Logically, if you give her $2000, your only options are then #2 and #4, neither which are your most desired outcome. If you don't pay, your options are now #1 and #3.
