I only made it 1:35 into it.

Then you missed the best parts, especially at the end.

I had to leave it was making my skin crawl.

What exactly made your skin crawl?

His seeming passivity? IMO he's really not passive at all, he's active in terms of making decisions, but simply not "assertive", yet at the same time he's not going to be anyone's doormat (or said another way he's not going to waste his time or effort playing the white knight).

Or was it her combination of assumptions and failed trickery manipulation attempts? I'm not sure how that would make your skin crawl since its actually a fairly honest portrayal of how most women actually behave.

I think the thing is hilarious, it's an excellent portrayal of what feminists (and now that I think about it, most so called MRA's) claim to want -- their "dream" of perfect equality -- but yet rather obviously most women would end up seeing it as a more of a nightmare: and that is just too damned funny for words (at least to any MGTOW).

Sorry for the wait I had some family issues that came up. So I watched the whole thing and here are the answers to your questions, but first I will say that the ending was much funnier than the beginning. What made my skin crawl was the very socially awkward way they were treating each other. To expand on that, from my perspective I don't date at all anymore. To be fair if I was in this guy’s place I would have told that girl that I wasn't interested at all and skipped the date. I don't think he made any incorrect choices at all, the chemistry of the situation just felt weird to me. I also did have to change my perspective on the video though. Although I don't think a feminist would like to date like this in real life it is blatantly showing that they want a double standard. So in the end I will retract my "skin crawl" statement as to bold and in error. Just not my type of humor I guess.

I will agree that the date scenario portrayed most definitely was socially "awkward" -- at least for her -- and in a cringeworthy fashion.

But I think you really have to ask yourself "why?"... why did the the interaction "feel so awkward" ? Why did it make (as you said initially) your "skin crawl" (which I think was a valid expression or honest description of what you were feeling when you initially saw it).

Imagine instead of a "romantic date" between opposite genders, that this same scenario (phone call, and a "going dutch" getting together for a night out -- hitting a restaurant and then a movie) was a "friend" thing between two Men or two Women (i.e. social equals with no UNequal expectations allowed).

Suddenly your expectations change, don't they? There is NO "skin crawl" at all -- at worst, there might be some (trivial/insignificant) "awkwardness" at the misunderstanding of which friend (of two equals) was to do the planning/calling, etc. around this specific evening.

Because in a true-equality situation, there would be NO expectation of "why aren't you going to pick me up?" -- instead of an assumption, if one of the two friends was sans transport they would ask/request (with no subliminal emotional manipulation) if the other would be WILLING to drive -- and likewise with the splitting of the check, the buying of the popcorn/soda, or the return trip.

Ergo it is the Female's unspoken, and inherently assumed position of 'playing helpless/poor/entitled' and HER assumption that the Male should/must be the provider/sacrifice/white-knight which creates majority of the awkwardness. (And in the context of the video, his "assumption" that SHE was "making the plans" needs -- I think -- to be taken not as an inherent "in all cases" assumption, but rather that it is specific to this date: IOW that SHE previously initiated the event, hence his expectation that SHE would call and had "planned" it would be entirely valid.)

And yes that "flips" the standard (feminists would call it "patriarchal") date relationship... but that is the point -- women purportedly WANT to be "empowered" and able to "ask guys out", but then they don't want to take on the responsibility that that entails.

Note that HE seems to take it all in stride, and easily buffets aside the "awkwardness" -- her efforts at manipulating him are like water off a duck's back -- also note that HE didn't have any expectations that SHE would pay for his food (or pick HIM up, buy HIM popcorn/soda, drop HIM off, etc). In short, the behavior he demonstrates is essentially giving (and then expecting) the "total equality" that feminists claim to so desperately want (basically he is treating her pretty much EXACTLY as he would treat another male friend).

Although I don't think a feminist would like to date like this in real life it is blatantly showing that they want a double standard.

That's kind of the whole point -- it is a humorous satirical comedy -- one which reveals that the purported goals of feminists (to be "equals") are in fact not their real goals; and that rather than being their "dream" date/man, they would be horrified/offended by this kind of behavior (rather than a dream, it is their idea of a "nightmare").

IOW, it demonstrates their complete and total hypocrisy (and that the "typical" female will be unwilling, and ultimately unable to let go of attempting to emotionally manipulate the man back into a thoroughly UNequal behavior pattern, and keep him as a "sucker/slave" in a position of sugar-daddy... just an emasculated one).

I laughed so hard at this -- and figured other MGTOW's would appreciate it and find it funny too!

EDIT: I guess I should also add that many moons ago I dated a woman who claimed she wanted to be "treated as an equal" -- and while I didn't take it quite to the extent of the guy in this video -- I did pretty much that (refusing to pick her up, and instead arranging to merely "meet", buying just MY ticket at the theater, etc)... needless to say, she reacted VERY MUCH like the woman in this video: at first she tried to seem pleased, then increasingly puzzled, and then (as my failure to "provide" continued) she took offense... and that just made me laugh (and point out how hypocritical she was being) of course THAT (my laughter) just pissed her off further (which made me laugh even more, etc).
