Sometimes you've got to fight to protect your life. If I had millions of people 50 miles away that want me.dead. I'd join armed forces to defend myself by defending my neighbours. The US won't have that issue as long as it's the US. When I've read events in Chinese history I can see parallels in US policies to cause geographic hedgemony to end the union. That's when we'll have big problems and probably be drafted in one form or another. Learn another language gentlemen we may need it in our lifetime.

Many go into the service because it's a paycheck, free housing, free food, free medical. Plus you get your schooling paid for..
