hey man. I am not sure why this *one weird trick * is not more popular. Don't recycle you old memories, when it pops up out of no where acknowledge the thought but don't process it. Honestly man, start meditating, that shit will help diminish the rage. Download the headspace app and do the first 10 days and then move on to longer sessions. I'd also start some CBT based therapy or something similar to it, don't let the anger consume you, you're going to have to put work into getting over the rage, but you'll be a better man on the other side of it.

My last relationshit ended very badly and I went thru an anger phase. My commute to work took me right by her house. For a year every time I passed her house I would yell "CUUUUUUNT!!!" as loud and drawn out as I could (with my car windows rolled up). Then I would end up laughing, it was really a cathartic release and cracked me up every time.

After a year of this I no longer had any anger left. I even saw her with her new boyfriend a couple months ago and my only feelings were, "that poor SOB, he's got no clue what he is in for"

Closure is moving on. One day you won't have an inkling of any feeling about her or him or them or any of it and you couldn't even if you wanted to. Stop thinking about it. Do something else. Maybe you need a change of scenery. Do some research and take a two week holiday on an island in the Philippines. I'm in the same boat. 3 years ago I had the 'love of my life' or whatever and she just 'fell out of love' . This might seem simple and not as bad as some BUT HOW THE FUCK do you stop loving someone your madly fucking in love with!??She literally just gave up.
