Long time Lurker of this forum. I just made this account after working a twelve hour shift.. First Reddit Account Yay

Hello everyone I am a 50 years old(51 on June 11) anesthesiologist making roughly 290k after taxes

Lets start at the beginning:

I was born on June 11th, 1965 In rural Indiana. The youngest of 4 kids.. I had a decent childhood my father(He is 81) worked as a plumber till the day he retired at 65. My parents divorced when I was 12.. My 3 siblings choose to live with my mother, but I on the other hand selected my father..

Highschool Life:

Highschool the place where we all have to suffer at. I did moderately well although I was having trouble with my English and History classes. I dated one girl during Highschool and she was alright, but then again we were in the country in the middle of nowhere. I've always thought country girls are nicer and more simple then their city slicker counter parts.. I graduated Highschool with a 3.6 GPA.

I'm gonna skip my 20s and early 30s since that was mostly College/Residency..

Past decade and present

At 41 I started abusing Alcohol and Cocaine due to the stress of my job and for a while it worked, but after a year I knew I needed to stop. I took some time off and checked myself into rehab. I've been sober for eight years. I've never been married and I've lived a successful life because of it. I own a lot of materialistic things like cars and a house. Yes I know not everyone needs to live the materialistic lifestyle it just makes me happy to own things I can show off to friends and family.
