I have this weird theory, kinda based on history of an area and culture, how it is more receptive to some races than others. Now obviously, white guys don't have to worry about this sort of stuff because a higher SMV white guy can do well just about anywhere in the USA. On the other hand, I do feel like guys of minority groups do need to take this into account.

Going to share my experiences in various parts of the country as someone who has moved around a bit.

Ethnically, I am Indian but I was born and raised in overtaxed expensive liberal hellhole full of nutjobs and the fakest people on this planet the state of California. Growing up in that liberal hellhole full of two-faced phonies California, I noticed something about race, it seemed like only white guys and black guys did well with most of the top tier California girls. The hot blonde in Orange County would obviously go for a white guy and would happily go for a black guy but guys of all other minority groups were seen as lower than roaches. Even though we had a lot more Hispanic guys than black guys in California, it was probably 10 times more common to see black guys with hot white girls than Hispanic guys with hot white girls.

It was unheard of to see your typical California blonde beauty anything other than a white guy or black guy, like it was some sort of unwritten rule in the social ladder of the state. Even local white guys in California felt comfortable making racist jokes about Mexicans, Asians, Indians, and other races. Quite a few of the local white guys were openly racist towards men of more foreign races and weren't shy about admitting it either.

Relax relax relax before you throw whatever device you're reading this on against the wall or floor white pride nationalists on TRP, it isn't just about white girls!

Not only that, I also noticed that your typical white washed Latinas, Asian girls, and ethnic girls were readily going for black guys and obviously white guys but they hated guys of all other minority groups. Even good looking girls from more non-black minority groups who were trying to climb a social ladder absolutely avoided men of their own race. Now it is no secret that I will never go back to that overrated and overtaxed liberal hellhole California and that as an Indian guy, I had no luck there. I doubt that even this guy would have had any luck in California.

When I moved down south, I noticed that things were radically different. Despite hearing all about how racist the region was, I feel like my foreign appearance actually helped me a lot with women. A lot of the local southern guys were friendly with me and southern girls were actually curious about me. What's weird is that I actually felt like being any kind of a non-black minority whether Hispanic, Asian, Indian, or Middle Eastern was a bigger advantage than being black, something I would have never thought in a million years in California.

I noticed that there were hardly as many self-hating Asian girls, Persian girls, Latinas, or Indian girls in the southern states I lived in compared to California where these girls were extremely common. Even the white washed ethnic girls I knew in these states were very open to going for guys of their own respective races. While I did have black friends that were having success in southern states, it did seem like being black wasn't nearly as much of an advantage there as it was in California.

So what happened?

I think that the reason black guys I knew had so much success in California and why top tier girls in California are way more open to going for black guys than Hispanics, Asians, or any other minority group is because of the history of the state. A lot of the racism in California's history was directed towards foreign minority groups like Asians and Mexicans, not towards black people. Now compare that to the history of the south and you find that being black was not that much of an advantage as it was out in California while a Latino or Asian guy could do quite well in southern states.

Now I guess it is because old ways don't die so easily so your typical blonde beauty from Orange County probably grew up having parents, friends, and a social circle that generally looked down on Mexicans, Asians, and Indians; dating a guy of those background would have been a hard hit to her social status. On the other hand, dating a black guy would have been completely acceptable because Californians generally don't hate blacks as much as they do other minority groups. Compare that to the southern states and you have a situation where an Asian, Indian, or Hispanic guy can do just as well with local women as a black guy can.

Friends of mines in Arizona say that it is a lot like California too, black guys are the only minority group that can pull hot girls in the state while guys of other minority groups (especially Hispanics) have to hit it out of the ball park.

Girls care a lot about stereotypes and climbing the social ladder, this is especially true for hot girls. I feel like in some states, it is impossible for a guy to really be on top of a social ladder if he is of a certain minority group while in others, a guy from that same minority group can be on top of that social ladder (what we call status).

How it affects you.

Now if you're white, you don't even have to read this thread. On the other hand, for a lot of the ethnic guys here who wonder why they are struggling so much with hot white girls, really take this into account. When I was in California, it was impossible for me to pull the hot blondes I had a thing for and I never met an Indian guy that did well with your typical hot blonde California girl. As soon as I moved to other regions of the country, I found that it was completely doable and at times even easy to do well these kinds of women.

If you're Asian guy comfortable with just dating Asian girls or a latino that is perfectly okay with exclusively dating latinas, by all means ignore all of what I just said. On the other hand, if you try want the kind of SMV that lets you pick and date girls of various backgrounds which include hot girls of your own race as well as hot white girls, do take all of this into account.
