Here is the thing, I will keep this short. I have parted ways with all of my old friends because they were dropkicks and I have enough of their negative/selfish mentalities, so I kicked their asses out of my life. I am at a point now where most of my social interaction comes from my family, but even they let me down at times. My dad has always treated me as the black sheep of the family, and I suspect he does this because his mother has always treated him like this, and he never sorted his attitude out so he has always bullied me since I was a kid, but then he will come back months later after not talking to me acting all sweet, its actually a fucked scenario. My mother gaslights me and tells me that I'm imagining all of this and really I'm the one treated my father badly and my brother just backs him up. I have tried reconnecting with my brother after never getting along growing up and he will speak to me for a few days and then we won't speak for two years. He has asked me to go to the club before but I always declined because I hate clubbing and wasting my money on unnecessary shit. Well I have asked him numerous times if he wanted to get a meal, get a drink together, get a pizza, go on a trip and he always just says "nah". Like just a flat nah and then doesn't want to talk to me, but I still want to have a relationship with him?

I am at the point where I am just sick of my family and want to get through university so I don't have to see them again and go live in a one bedroom flat for a while. My question to you older guys, is how do you know who is a healthy friend in your life and who you should discount? because as I have explained I've never had healthy relationships, and I sort of can't even feel what they even are anymore. So many people are just negative and expect so much but don't give anything in return, its actually quite draining to think about.
