These kind of stories always anger me.

I was sexually assaulted in a car by a male colleague a number of years ago, it messed me up and I ended up going to therapy.

The thought that someone would use something so abhorrent as a tool to get their own way utterly disgusts me to the pit of my stomach.

It's because their logic is like

"I am failing, I became drug addict, I became a slut, I became everything bad - I am messed up, but how did I become messed up like this? I can't find a well paying job"

Eureka, "someone abused/harrased me"

But who is the abuser? "The one I don't like or the one I can't get"
