How does one protect himself and document everything to avoid false misconduct allegations in medical school in a 2-party consent state?

I’m in Illinois, which is a two party consent state.

My medical school has an extremely unfair Title IX process that almost universally expels the accused. And in fact, we had someone who even denied he was at the party in the first place and no one else testified he was even at the party. He was still expelled from the program after the Title IX procedure. He won’t get a chance at being a doctor—no other school would accept him now that he is an alleged sex offender determined by the universe without evidence and didn’t even go to criminal court or get arrested.

I don’t ever flirt, harass or speak with anyone sexually and keep very professional: but as you know: you don’t have to do something wrong to be falsely accused. I fear this may happen to me as my medical school is very "cut-throat" competitive and no one seems to help anyone.

I’m seeking practical advice on how I can document and protect myself from false allegations. I wanted to put my phone and audio record all of my interactions documenting where I have been and what I have done in my planner/calendar, but I don’t think this is legal in Illinois. (I even wanted to keep a MicroSD drive in my planner every month that records my 12 hour daily interactions).

I don’t know how to feel safe at this school and I don’t feel safe. I don’t interact with students at all in this school besides during our lab classes (which are unfortunately very hands-on and we need to touch students as part of the medical exam lab class).

I don’t feel safe, so I’m seeking advice on how to be safe.
