She was ready to leave her husband for chad. Makes sense as an evolutionary strategy for a female to kill her children when future reproductive benefit, even if just perceived, outweighs current one. To be expected in a society which promises the next better thing is just around the corner.

In Canada, a woman can be charged with 'infanticide' (less severe crime than murder), if she kills her own baby within a year of birth, and was 'affected by the birth'. This is not a psychiatric disorder. It's a pure legal definition.

I don't believe that women are 'inferior' in the sense they are become mentally incompetent and kill their babies. I think they do it for selfish reasons.

I still remember in the when feminists lobbied for 'drop your baby off at the police station' laws in the USA. A feminists on TV said "this will help prevent women from killing their babies". This means that women feel that the woman avoiding embarrassment is more important than the baby's life. That's how selfish women are.
