because of inherent sociological biases that are a lot harder to address because of how engrained they are in culture, that actively impact people, this isn’t that hard lol. along with this if you want to actually address the issue, dismantling capitalism is the solution, or instating a federal job guarantees that encourages labor security, as current labor quotas have been largely ineffective according to recent studies. capitalism is in inherently racist sexist system because of the hierarchies expressed and needed for said system to exist, and if black women were on top rather than men, it would be sexist against men and white people, respectively, but we live in a capitalist society where white men are on top and everyone else suffers. i bring you to a quote by fred hampton, a famous black panther and socialist, “We’re going to fight racism not with racism, but we’re going to fight with solidarity. We say we’re not going to fight capitalism with black capitalism, but we’re going to fight it with socialism.
i was drawing a comparison that just because there is legislation that prohibits it doesn’t expressively stop it completely, as it is rather a sociological issue rather than a legal one
i never contradicted myself, when you look at the actual data, they take into account the different jobs and hours worked and it still comes out for there to be an unexplained 7% gap between the paychecks of men and women. and even then women are objectively more productive than men on average in the work place, and even when you take that into account, women are still disparaged despite in the work place.
